ELVIS OR THE BEATLES?: Really?
"Coming into the world with a sneer on his lip, a voice that shreeked to the rock heavens and the stage presence to rival The King, this front man for Cheap Date was born to bring the ROCK...and bring it he has! For almost a decade this CD RockStar has been pleasing crowds, crankin' out gigs, singing everything on the radio (and well!) and puttin' asses in the seats for only ONE reason...cuz' he LOVES to put on a show! Having sharpened his stage and singing skills in a number of earlier bands like Shameless, BandKamp, Black Cracker (as well as a number of shower stalls....great acoustics), it wasn't until his creation of Cheap Date that it all came together....and what a ride it's been! Thousands of fans, hundreds of songs, tons of crazy ladies and gallons of booze and beer have only added to the fun and debauchery that is Cheap Date! Who knows what the future holds for this lead singer....all he's sure about is that Cheap Date is his band, his members are his brothers and his music is his rock outlet that will only die he hangs it up. And THAT won't be until they drag his body off the stage! Come out, join the party, put a few back, take home a memory and sing along....this lead singer won't mind a bit!

ELVIS OR THE BEATLES?: Elvis, before he got weird.
I asked my Mom for a guitar when I was 11. She bought me a banjo thinking it was the same thing. I took lessons for a few months, but it just didn't sound like Ozzy. I got a job when I was 13 and saved up until I could afford a cheap guitar, but didn't learn anything until I was 14. I took lessons for a few months, but all they were teaching me was Pink Floyd (which is cool now, but not at 14). My brother played drums and his guitarist would teach me stuff now and then. Then I discovered Metallica and radio rock just wouldn't do. After many years of damage to my ear drums I settled down a bit with some more radio friendly music. I've played punk, hard core metal, technical metal, classic rock, modern rock, country and dance music. Now I don't care what it is, I just love to play guitar.
NAME: Todd
ALIAS: Tizzod
BIRTHDAY/SIGN: Novemberish.... Scorpio
GEAR:Yamaha 5-String, GK amp, Hartke cabinet, Korg Tuner, some sort of wireless apparatus.
PET PEEVE: How much time do you have? I have countless pet peeves. People irritate the crap out of me hourly.
OBSESSIONS: Iron Maiden, Porn
FAVORITE BANDS: See above, but also I like so many different things. Not a fan of rap or country, but everything else is cool with me. I even have CDs of music from NE Thailand and music from ancient Rome. Take that.
FAVORITE SPORT: Football. Or Hockey. Or Baseball. Or Tennis. Maybe a little Basketball.
FAVORITE DECADE: Eh, the 20's were cool because of Capone and all the mob infighting in Chicago. The 40's were pretty cool. The whole 60's hippy thing sounds interesting exect for the dirt and the smelliness. 80's and 90's were fun. And it's OK now, execpt for all the hypersensitive whiners. If someone says "crap" they have to call a news conference to aplogize to all the toilets. That is pretty embarrassing and shameful.
FAVORITE MOVIE: State of Grace. Gary Oldman, Ed Harris, Sean Penn, and robin Wright. Hubba hubba, Robin Wright, by the way.
FAVORITE TV SHOW: Back in the Day- Looney Toons and the Flintstones. Now- How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory. Same channel, same night. Makes it easy. Sheldon is my guardo camino. That means road guard in case you don't speak Spanish.
FAVORITE BEVERAGE: Cold water. Greatest drink ever. Or a Cherry Bomb. Cherry vodka and Red Bull. Precisely what I don't need, but it is just so freakin' delicious! Ya know? Blueberry Bombs and Grape Bombs aren't far behind either.
FAVORITE BOOK: Post Office by Charles Bukowski
FAVORITE FOOD: Anything Asian. Southeast Asia counts too.
FAVORITE ANIMAL: Dogs. I would save a dog a million times faster than a thought would even arrive in my head to save a human. I wouldn't pee on most humans if they were on fire.
FAVORITE COLOR: I guess green.
CRAZIEST THING TO HAPPEN AT A GIG: Most things are fun or funny, not crazy.
BLONDE/BRUNETTE/REDHEAD: I like to think of myself as equal opportunity.
LIKE TO MEET: Wow, this is pretty broad. Actually, I can think of lots of pretty broads I'd like to meet. Snare drum/cymbal! Historical figures would be fun. I would like to meet someone like George Washington, so I could take him to a tavern and get him completely sloshed and humanize him. Have him puking in the outhouse. Take him fron Godlike to Human. That would be really cool to me. Take Ghandi to a whorehouse. Stuff like that. Knock them down off their pedestals a bit.
ELVIS OR THE BEATLES: Beatles. Not feeling the Ebbis at all. Sorry Jim
I was born in a one room log cabin, to humble parents who worked the land and loved God.....OK, enough of that.... I started out on the guitar a long time ago...dad was a guitarist who also toiled his trade amongst the bars and clubs of the DC area back when Nehru jackets were cool and drunk driving was just something everyone did most nights. Growing up there was always a guitar around somewhere so naturally I would pick it up periodically and my dad would show me a chord or two. As time went on I got slightly better, but then I started noticing that everyone was a guitar player, and bands always needed a bassist. I found the switch to be very easy, since I already knew all the notes and what was what for the most part. I'm sure I annoyed my fair share of parents during the high school years, practicing in friend's basements. After a quick jaunt through Portugal, I came back to join probably my first "proper" band, Albright Green. Put out a CD and everything! That was great stuff and we are still good friends, hoping to get together over some Memorial Day to make noise again! Didn't play for a long time after that, then I filled in a few gigs with JunkFood and through that got mixed up with the delinquents in ThatGuy. What an experience...way too much fun and too much Jager. We still play the occasional gig here and there. I filled in for Cheap Date's bassist for a couple gigs when they needed someone, and when Jim decided to make a change, he called me. What a sweetie. Still here too, banging and trying not to embarrass myself too much! I guess I will stick around a bit longer, too. We are having a great time and don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon! So that's me.
